Managing Human Resources Personal and Professional Life
Question: Discuss about theManaging Human Resourcesfor Personal and Professional Life. Answer: Introduction The social networking websites encompasses their specific impact on the personal and professional life of the people. The personal life and public life of the common people are engaged in accessing the social websites and they would like to share their major information with their friends, family and relatives. The essay shown below is helpful in highlighting the major issues related to the social networking website in contrast to the employees and the employers. In this report, the major rights of the employees in sharing their personal information on social websites are explained. Apart from this, the accessing rights of the employers are also explained in reference to the social networking websites. In fact, sometimes employers also get indulge in inappropriate activities and no complaints or FIR has been lodged by the employees against the employers who are using their information in the illegal manner. So, to explain the major perspectives related to the social networking websit e and to define the approach in the critical manner the argumentative essay is shown below which is helpful in solving the major aspects and perspective related to questions asked. The major content which is helpful in completing the task is related to the privacy issues of the employees and organizations, a critical assessment/review on information sharing through social websites and aspects to win the objective and achieve the suitable target. Major Aspects The social network and websites related to it are always considered as the most appropriate and important aspect of the discussion. The case study is defined for the analyses through which the major questions will be answered in an appropriate manner. Through this case study the different perspectives related the employees, employers and the impact of the social networking websites on different aspects are trying to discuss in an appropriate manner. The three questions with their critical analysis are defined below in an appropriate manner. Privacy Issues Related to Employees and Organizations The privacy related issues are recognized as the common setting in the framework of the organization. The employees who work in the organization possess their specific personal life. After joining any organization, the employees also have to follow suitable rules and regulations which are defined by the employers. In this situation, to manage the equilibrium between the personal aspects and the organizational needs is considered as a complicated task. As defined in the case study that on the employees level sharing of personal information is method of developing communication and to maintain the stability in personal relationship. Some of new generation workers also think that sharing of personal information makes other people aware about their personal aspects easily. The employees share their personal profile and information on the social websites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, twitter and blogs so that the friends and relatives got an idea about the current state of the employee in their personal and professional manner (Warren, 2008). According to the famous researcher Jacques Rosseau, the rules and principle rights are considered on the highest priority while identifying the personal aspects related to employees. There are various rights which are served by the employees in the organization, but the organization only wants to impose the personal laws and orders on the employees, by which the actual rights of the candidates have to suffer equally. Every employee has their personal life and the personal choice of sharing their information with each other. But, every time the organization imposes their personal aspects on their employees. The organization can only imposed the legal conditions on their employees when they are in the organization and using internet in an unauthorized manner (Craver, 2006). But, simultaneously there are some negative aspects at the employee level as well. The employee only has to post the kind of information on the social websites which are helpful in managing the social contact rather than disclosing their personal information related to the organization. In fact, the personal documents and accessories should also not open for everyone who is interlinked with the employees on the social websites. The organization holds any private information which can get leak out or disclose by the employees on social websites, is also considered in the category of crime. This is not considered as a good sign for the organization. In fact, sometimes the employees also post some pictures of official or corporate get together, which are not in the good books of the organization. By this, the employee is trying to hinder security aspects of the organization and privacy of the organization may also suffers due to this. The negative aspect is that the employer also misuses the information of the employees which is available on the social websites such as Facebook, twitter, blogs and other websites for identifying the involvement of the employee on the social level. The social involvement of the employee and the groups related to the employees will reflect the personal attitude of the employees which would be further helpful in making the process of recruiting easy and comfortable. This is not id entified as correct procedure. In Australia, the usage of information from the social networking websites gets prohibited under Privacy Act or the Fair Work Act. Nearly 60 percent of the employees are discarded by the recruiters due to their inappropriate social commitment in these websites. Sometimes due to personal blog pages and the controversial twits, the recruiters also discard the job application of the candidates. Though this task is included in the category of unauthorized task but various senior authorities and recruitment panel are using this personal information of employees in an illegal manner (Mattner, 2004). To manage the equilibrium among the employees and the organization, it is essential to follow and to manage the stable consequences, it is very essential that both the employees and the organization should follow suitable guidelines and the policies by which appropriate regulations can be managed (Scott, 2016). According to Marna M. and Tess Mattner; hiring, retention, references and firing by the employers should not be dependent on the social status and aspects of the employees. Rather, it depends upon the qualification and the actual interview of the employees. Apart from this, the employees should also require managing dignity and decorum of the organization and only share the information which is essential to share in all respects. By this, all the consequences can be managed in an appropriate manner. The suitable aspects related to equilibrium can also be identified with the help of these consequences and both the employees and employers can work in a coordinate manner. Critical Review of Information Sharing on Social Websites The sharing of personal information is the most appropriate way to involve friends, family and colleagues in the personal life. But, what about sharing of information by the employees on the social websites? This aspect is still considered as a matter of searching. According to the employers point of view, sharing of the information on the social website by the employees is considered as the matter of discussion and young workers considered as a best method of maintaining the stable relationship with each-other in an appropriate manner (Midwest New Media, LLC., 2016). According to the research and studies, it is identified that the employers have right to watch the employee internet usage. The usage of the internet may include emails, identifying networking websites and identification of other information. The employer can monitor data which shared on the public level by the employees and also take strict action if the shared data is against the employers dignity. According to the survey, it is being identified that the employers fired nearly 28% of the employees due to misusing the internet, 35% of the employees are fired due to misuse the social websites and the other aspects are also being identified by the employers against the employees (US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 2016). The rules in Australia for the social networking websites are quite different from other countries. According to the EPCA (Electronic Communications Privacy Act), the employer has the right/ permission to check and monitor the employees system in their organi zation in case of employer feels any issue regarding the information. The employee has no right to share the information on the social networking website without the permission of the organization. There are various aspects which can be observed by an employer such as the software used for the social communication, usage of the internet and the maximum information which is shared on the social networking websites. The employers has also equal authority and the rights to manage the aspects related to the organization (Holtz, 2016). Apart from these positive aspects which the higher authorities can create their impact, there are some other aspects which are being defined in the favor of young employees. The thinking skills and approach of the young people are quite different from older people and they want to share their personal information with the other members on the social networking website. The employers do not have authority on the employees personal life and also holds no right to access the system without the personal permission of the employees (New Media Institute, 2012). The rights of the employers are also limited when the information related to the organization is being shared. In Australia, the employers also have the right to fire the employees if the employees are posting unauthorized data on the social websites and indulging in kind of inappropriate activities. Due to the major differences in the thinking skills and different values related to life, the young employees involve their friends an d relatives their professional life as well . By assuming all the perspectives and basic ideas related to the employers and employees, it is quite clear that the employers can only interfere in the personal decisions of the employees by using the appropriate legal framework. But, simultaneously the employee should also be cautious while posting any such data on the social website (SHRM Team, 2016). Rather than posting the confidential information, only the information related to the job and the organization must post on the websites which is in the form of the information for other people. Apart from this, there is specific policies related to the code of conduct which are being defined by the organization. This would be helpful in providing the suitable directions to the employees, and what material are they allowed to post on the social websites(i.e and which material is not allowed or favorable for posting on the social websites. The decision making system should be strong from both the sides so that the privacy issues will n ot occur. Apart from this, the employers should also provide the employee with their personal space so that they can set the suitable criteria for the development and growth on their own level (NCSC International, 2016). Aspects to Win the Objectives The employees and employers are complementary to each other and without each other, the success aspects cannot be fulfilled. The approach should work in a coordinated manner and for this, both the employee and employers have to plan a suitable strategy so that the successful approach related to both can be identified easily and benefits can be earned by both of them. The most appropriate approach is the selection of win- win approach rather than selecting the win-loose approach. This aspect can only be fulfilled when the managers try to manage the suitable steps for selecting the favorable situations (Apostolou, 2000). According to the Win- Win theory, the negotiation principle is identified in which all the parties are ready to share the equal profits and for this, the equal contribution from both the employees and the employers will be observed on the wide level. But, before initiating the coordinated approach, it is also essential that both the employees and the employer can able to manage the suitable aspects on the individual level. The employees can pursue the suitable rules and regulations defined by organization and the employers can control their accessing rights on the individual level. By this, the most suitable and coordinated approach can be established on initial level, which will help in providing the suitable feedback too. According to the case study, there are various aspects which are identified in which it is transparently defined that both the employers and employees wants their good will and want to manage their personal profit. The employee wants to share their personal life o n the social websites simultaneously, the employer worries about the information which is shared . To avoid this situation, there are various attempts that can be tried from both the employees and the employers in the positive direction (Spangler, 2013). The employers have to provide proper personal space for the employees, so that they can live their personal life in their own personal way. In fact, for the selection and the recruitment process, the personal eligibility of the candidates should be focused by the employers rather than identifying their personal accounts on the social networking websites. If the employers want that the employee follow the guidelines, they have to make the appropriate guideline, policies and procedures, so that the employee can work in that definite framework rather than focussing on other rules and regulations (Lupfer, 2013). Apart from this, the regulations act is also defined for monitoring and suitable process of watching the employees employment in the social websites. This also controls sharing of the information and the personal life of the employee will also not get affected. On the other hand, the employee should also follow some rules and regulations while working in the organization. The limited sharing of the professional information and the personal profile is the key aspect by which the privacy of the employees cannot be hindered and the employees also dont have to follow the issues related to that. The social websites are considered as the mode of communication rather than sharing personal information with other people. The employee should understand that by sharing personal information on the online websites or the social websites, one can misuse the particular information and harm the employee and the employer too (Lunday, 2010). This will also create the negative impact on the organization as well. So, if both the employees and the employer should consider all these aspects in a right way, then a win-win strategy can work easily. Conclusion The major discussion related to the social media and elements identified to show the contribution of the social websites, clear the image of the employees and the employers to a wide extent. By assuming the aspects above the employees and employers individual decision about the usage of social sites are identified. Other than this, the essay also tries to contribute in defining the mutual coordination between the employees and employers in reference to the usage of social networking websites. Both of them are considered as the major source of sharing the information and by this, chances of improvement can also be observed. So, to manage all the perspectives and to maintain the equilibrium, it is essential that both the employees and employers should concern on suitable level and manage the aspects in a right way. Humainstic essays
Humainstic essays When reading through my notes for the class, I have found that the humanistic approach to the development of personality is the most interesting. The book describes humanistic as development through interaction. Every day we come in contact with people who then influence the way we think and perceive ideas. An example in the book given by Carl Rogerss study explains a young girl who perceives she is liked by every one and makes friends easily. Later when she over hears someone talking about how rude she is, she immediately conceives the idea through one of two possibilities. Distortion causes the girl to believe that the people talking about her dont know her very well. Denial makes the girl doesnt allow the girl to realize that they were talking about her. This form of study is extremely interesting. As a child when I played with neighbor children we knew of a child that also had misconceived perceptions. The little boy thought every one liked him, and he was so much fun. When confronted about it, the immediate action was shock, but the next day the same things occurred. I always thought denial played a role in this some how but wasnt educated enough to understand. Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow both had ideas surrounding self-actualization, or the goal to be complete. I think that this goal is acquired through personal experience as defined through the humanistic study personality. Interaction plays a huge role in any species, especially humans with a large development in the brain. The study of self-concept is also very interesting. We all have ideas regarding ourselves but the beliefs we have may be conceived in accurately. How do we know how others think about us? This subject has been something I have been interested in long before I took psychology for 2 years in high school, and even after taking this course, I am still interested! ...

This could be your core customer base, or simply a specific segment of your total audience. For example, if you sell automotive parts, you might create a campaign promoting winter vehicle accessories to followers in snowy areas. Or, if you sell musical instruments, you might create a campaign targeting people who play a particular instrument. Recommended Reading: How to Find Your Target Audience and Create the Best Content That Connects Next, Youââ¬â¢ll Need an Idea Successful campaigns are driven by big ideas. In traditional advertising parlance, a ââ¬Å"big ideaâ⬠is a general overarching theme or concept you want to communicate. Nikeââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"Just Do Itâ⬠slogan is a classic example. The company realized peopleââ¬â¢s aversion to working out was a roadblock stopping them from buying running shoes. So, they devised messaging that pushed people to ââ¬Å"just do itâ⬠anyway. How do you come up with creative ideas like this? Start by connecting two things: A problem for your audience. A solution you can solve for them.Your Audience's Problems + Your Brand + Creativity = Your Next Social Campaign IdeaYou could also approach this in terms of finding an intersection between your audienceââ¬â¢s interests in general, and your product or service. This connection is what makes most classic creative slogans work (and good content marketing in general). Recommended Reading: How to Generate Better Social Media Campaign Ideas Like a Creative Genius Determine Your Post Frequency and Schedule Write your posts first. Start off by determining two things: How many posts will you write? How far out will these posts be scheduled? The answers to each point above depend on the importance of what youââ¬â¢re promoting, the size of your budget, and how much time you have. Here are some hypothetical examples to consider: Your business is planning a summer sale. Ideally, your first post would kick off on the first day of summer. From there, you plan weekly posts throughout the duration of the sale. Youââ¬â¢re planning promotions for a major charity event. Since you have sufficient budget to shoot video, you choose to focus on video-friendly platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Your boss hands down a specific directive to increase your Twitter following. You decide to focus on a high-volume Twitter-only campaign that encourages sharing. These are all common situations marketers find themselves in. Theyââ¬â¢re also all completely different from one another, requiring different numbers of posts across varying numbers of social channels. So, what youââ¬â¢ll need to determine is how much content does your campaign really warrant. Then, youââ¬â¢ll need to lay out a plan that fits an appropriate level of effort and attention. Hereââ¬â¢s what a hypothetical posting schedule might look like for a large-scale social campaign: 12 Facebook posts 12 posts on Instagram 24 tweets Eight Google+ posts Five LinkedIn updates Three Pins on Pinterest Letââ¬â¢s say you have a smaller campaign promoting an original research report youââ¬â¢ve produced. You decide your Facebook audience might not be interested, but your followers include a high number of professionals on Twitter and LinkedIn. In this case, hereââ¬â¢s what your post outline might look like: 12 tweets Three LinkedIn updates One Google+ post These arenââ¬â¢t scientific numbers by any means. The key takeaway here is to simply consider how many posts youââ¬â¢ll create for each network youââ¬â¢ve selected. Getting this right might take some trial and error, and thatââ¬â¢s okay. Just make a plan, execute it, and see what happens. Just make a plan, execute it, and see what happens. #social #mediaKeep the Rest of Your Social Scheduling in Mind, Too If youââ¬â¢re curating content, resharing evergreen content, or running multiple campaigns at once, keep all of that in mind. Be careful not to oversaturate your social channels. Recommended Reading: How Often to Post on Social Media? One way to do this is with a well-crafted proposal. Generally speaking, your proposal should include: The name of your campaign. A brief summary describing your idea. A quick description of your intended audience. An outline for how many posts youââ¬â¢ll create. Clear goals tied to specific performance metrics. If youââ¬â¢re running a smaller campaign, you might go into more detail and include an outline for each post in your campaign. For example, if you were running a contest, your post outline could look like this: First post: Campaign kickoff introducing the contest. Second post: A promotional post explaining that the contest is underway. Third post: Another promotional post telling your audience time to win is running out. Fourth post: One last post encouraging people to enter. Fifth post: A ââ¬Å"contest closedâ⬠post letting people know youââ¬â¢ll be announcing a winner soon. If youââ¬â¢re planning an extremely high volume of posts, mapping out each one this way may not make sense. However, if itââ¬â¢s reasonable to do so, it can help you lay out a clear purpose for each post throughout your campaign. And doing things with purpose is why weââ¬â¢re investing in campaign planning in the first place, right? Recommended Reading: How to Quickly Build Social Media Proposals That Win Clients (Free Template) Putting Your Campaign Plan Into Action Now itââ¬â¢s time to roll up your sleeves and get the real work done. This is where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. Write Your Post Copy As youââ¬â¢re writing your social media posts, keep these things in mind: Do these posts need to be in sequential order? For example, if youââ¬â¢re running a contest, you might need posts announcing the start and end dates, plus more posts in between. Make sure your posts make sense within context of one another. Would this campaign benefit from using a hashtag? If so, would it be better to leverage an existing hashtag, or create one specific for this campaign? What sorts of visual content will these posts need? For each one, give your designer some kind of direction to work with. Make sure your post copy will match those images, too. Itââ¬â¢s also important to craft unique messages for every social network. What works well might not be a good fit on Twitter, and so on. Write out each post either in a spreadsheet or word processor (the download bundle in this post includes a free spreadsheet for this purpose). For each post, include the following: Post copy Image direction A URL (if you'll be including a link) The post's order in your campaign A hypothetical example might look like this: Post 1 Copy: This is an #awesome social media post. The two-person writer / designer team structure goes back to traditional advertising. Typically, a writer will sketch out an idea that a designer helps bring to life. If you have a designer on staff, this approach can help create a seamless workflow for your campaign creative. Sometimes, writers and designers can butt heads. This is sometimes the result of miscommunication. If you want to keep your designer happy, follow these tips: Be realistic about what your designer can accomplish. Itââ¬â¢s easy for our imaginations to be bigger than whatââ¬â¢s possible within our budget and timeline. If youââ¬â¢re not sure if your designer can create something, ask. Communicate your vision as clearly as possible. Be specific or donââ¬â¢t complain when the results donââ¬â¢t turn out how you would have liked. If your images need stats, charts, or graphs, provide that data. Let your designer know exactly what you're envisioning. If you find yourself struggling to explain your ideas for an image, consider using MS Paint (Windows) or Paintbrush (Mac) to make a rough sketch of what youââ¬â¢re thinking. It doesnââ¬â¢t have to be great, as long as it conveys what youââ¬â¢d like the end product to look like. Eurozone Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3500 words
Eurozone - Essay Example The eurozone is the subset of European Union member states, which have adopted the euro (Eurozone 2005). There are 12 member countries in the eurozone: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France (except pacific territories using CFP franc), Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain (Eurozone 2005). The rapid and smooth transition - and the successful logistical operation involving the transfer of billions of euro notes and coins to banks, retail stores, and vending machines - is a boost for the European Central Bank (ECB), which masterminded the operation (Schifferes 2002). When the 12 member states that currently comprise the eurozone gave up their currencies in favour of the euro, the European Central Bank took on the responsibility of monitoring monetary policy for the eurozone (Eurzone and the single currency 2005). Euro notes and coins is now being use by more than 300 million eurozone citizens. Monaco, San Marino, and Vatican City also use the euro, although they are not officially euro members or members of the European Union (They previously used currencies that were replaced by the euro.) They now mint their own coins, with their own national symbols on the reverse. These countries use the euro by virtue of agreements concluded with European Union member states (Italy in the case of San Marino and Vatican City, France in the case of Monaco), on behalf of the European Community (Eurozone 2005). Likewise, Montenegro and Kosovo, which used to have the German mark as their de facto currency, also adopted the euro without having entered into any legal arrangements with the European Union explicitly permitting them to do so. They use the euro instead of the Serbian dinar, mainly for political reasons (Eurozone 2005).The other 13 countries of the European Union that do not use the euro are: Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the ten member states that joined the Union on 1 May 2004; namely Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Denmark and the United Kingdom got special derogations in the original Maastricht Treaty of the European Union. Both countries are not legally required to join the euro unless their governments decide otherwise, by either parliamentary vote or referendum (Eurozone 2005). Surrendering monetary policy to the European Central Bank (ECB) is an act of political will, and current members of the eurozone are still besieged with its economic consequences (Ezoneplus 2004). There are 31 nations, states and territories using the euro, including seven French and five Spanish overseas territories, two Balkan states, Kosovo and Montenegro, and strangely enough Cuba, where the Euro has been designated as the official currency at one of the biggest beach resorts. The rest of Cuba uses the Cuban peso, which is tied to the US dollar (Robinson 2002).Since the adoption of the single currency by the eurozone countries, there are wide variations in the economic performance of the individual states in the eurozone. There was supposed to be increased convergence of the economic cycles of individual eurozone as the euro stabilised. However, this did not come to past (Eurozone and the single currency 2005). Moreover, the eurozone economy is still greatly influenced by the per formance of the

Social contract is a phenomenon that entitles and establishes elements that categorize the forms of relations between persons in an organization. It is common to identify situations and working environments through identifying the character traits of a personââ¬â¢s social contract demeanor (McCarthy, 2011). Most likely, the way a person relates with the others determines the art of the social contract assumed. For instance, the cases of Kirby and Cunningham impose differences in the level of social relations. Kirbyââ¬â¢s assumption of the social contract is affirmative, especially considering the way he treats employees. The manager is oriented and concerned about the welfare of the employees hired by the company. In most instances, most managers create a division setup between them and the employees they hire. That is; they maintain official relations that put away the idea of relating on a personal basis. According to Kirby, the employeeââ¬â¢s social and economic affairs were a concern to the company. That makes him part of the concern. For instance, he makes sure that he establishes a personal relationship with the employees. According to many, the leadership skills demonstrated by Kirby create an integrative environment between the employees and their seniors. He establishes the essentiality of collaboration in terms of skills and ability to cooperate amongst the workmates. Kirby understands and complies fully with the SOP (standard operating procedures). However, he also respects the need to
